Lord of the Flies by William Golding

Lord of the flies is an excellent book about how childrens characters  change when they are in a certain situation. The book starts when a plane crashes of a desert island and the only survivors left are a group of twenty or so boys. the books main character is a boy called Ralph who is friends with a boy whose nickname is Piggy. The second main character is a boy called Jack, who later on in the book starts to take on a more savage significance. When this happens the group of boys is split in two; the hunters who are the biggest and most powerful group who are lead by jack, and the boys who want to be rescued, Ralh, Piggy and another boy called Simon. The book is very exiting and interesting although sometimes quite gruesome and slightly disturbing. i would definately recomend the book for the ages maybe 12 and over.  Lord of the flies is one of William Golding’s best books.
