I would just like to take the opportunity to thank all the local schools in the Ross-shire area for their continued support for Jackie Wood and her collection of books. Encouragement of such local, genuine talent is fantastic and true inspiration to all children far and wide.

    Jackie Wood
I hope you all have a “Wonderful World Book Day” At present I am working on my fifth book, it has been very enjoyable painting the illustrations. You can learn such a lot about animals when you draw them. My latest addition to the world of the Scatwell Rabbits is a buzzard, his name is Cyril. Hopefully I will be seeing most of you next week.

    Bye for now Jackie

Jackie came to visit our school last week and everyone enjoyed it and had great ideas for the books. Jackie seemed determined to overcome her dyslexia and to encourage us all to to keep trying. We loved the books and can’t wait until the 5th one is published! The illustrations were excellent, Jackie makes it look so easy! she helped us to draw our own illustrations too. We can’t wait until she comes back to our school next year!
